1.5 Warranty
TheproductsofBronkhorstHigh‐TechB.V.arewarrantedagainstdefectsinmaterialandworkmanship
foraperiodofthreeyearsfromthedate ofshipment, providedtheyareusedinaccordancewiththe
ordering specifications andthe instructions in this manual and that they are not subjected to abuse,
physical
damageorcontamination.
Products that do not operate properly during this period may be repaired or replaced at no charge.
Repairsarenormallywarrantedforoneyear or thebalanceoftheoriginal warranty,whicheveristhe
longer.
Thewarrantyincludesallinitialandlatentdefects,randomfailures,andundeterminable
internalcauses.
It excludes failures and damage caused by the customer, such as contamination, improper electrical
hook‐up,physicalshocketc.
Re‐conditioningofproductsprimarilyreturnedforwarrantyservicethatispartlyorwhollyjudgednon‐
warrantymaybechargedfor.
Mass Flow ONLINEB.V. prepays outgoing freight charges when
any party of the service is performed
underwarranty,unlessotherwiseagreeduponbeforehand,however,iftheproducthasbeenreturned
collecttoBronkhorstHigh‐TechB.V.,thesecostsareaddedtotherepairinvoice.Importand/orexport
charges,foreignshippingmethods/carriersarepaidforbythecustomer.
1.6 General Description
The MASS‐VIEW
®
series operate on the principle of direct thermal mass flow measurement (no by‐
pass). An advantage of using this type of sensor is that the instruments measure direct mass flow,
virtuallyindependentofpressureandtemperaturechanges,andhavealowpressuredrop.
Otheradvantagescomparedtoconventionalmetersare
the high accuracyand the large range ability.
TheMASS‐VIEW
®
seriesaresuppliedwithtotalizerandalarmfunctions.Flowcontrolcanbeachieved
by an optional built‐in needle valve. A bright graphical OLED display, clearly visible over any angle,
allowsreadingofactualflow(valueandbargraph),totalflowandfluidtype.Thedisplayfeatureseasy
navigation through a user‐friendly menu, using a 4‐way button with centre push. Furthermore the
instrumentshave2potentialfreealarmcontactsgroundedononeside.
1.7 Housing
The MASS‐VIEW
®
meter has a straight tube with a mass flow sensor. The fluid connections have an
innerthreadofG1/4”(1/4”BSPPcavity).Theconnectionsresideonthebackoftheinstrument.
Thebottomfluidconnectionistheinlet;theupperconnectionistheoutlet.
Forelectricalconnectionandpowersupply,theinstrumenthasaRJ‐45modularconnectorontopofthe
instrument. These instruments are suited for indoor (dry) applications, like laboratories and in well
protected(OEM)housings.ThefrontpartismadeofABS,thebackpartofAluminium.Thelaminarflow
element
and orifice size inside the control valve are optimized for the customers gas and process
conditions.
